From an early age, Deep has been genuinely interested in software and development applications: "I still remember the feeling of wanting to have a computer and finding out how it worked."
Aside from volleyball, hiking, and going for unplanned long drives, he enjoys using the computer to play games.
Deep was 19 years old when his family emigrated from India to settle in the United States. He struggled to adjust to the new surroundings, but this challenge did not restrict him from pursuing his dream of becoming a computer engineer.

He took Computer Science courses at the University of Arizona and De Anza College. Deep applied the knowledge he had gained when he joined Cognizant Technology, a leading provider of IT services. As a Web Developer Intern, he designed and developed web pages using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
Deep's sister, an SFBU alumna, inspired him to pursue his degree at SFBU. He believes that studying at SFBU is an incredible educational journey, explaining, "I learned from the Professional Development taught by Dr. Mariam Ghazvini about the significance of social skills; that helps me now specifically as a team leader at Citigroup." He added, "The teaching methods used by Dr. Thawi Iwagoshi in his class helped me to understand Advanced Structured Programming and Algorithms easily; it's awesome!"
Deep proudly shares that he is now a part of the multinational investment banking company, Citigroup: "It's not very easy; I went through rounds of interviews before I finally got the job offer. In today's competitive environment, we should best equip ourselves with the knowledge and expertise to succeed." Currently, he is working as UI Software Engineer, developing web applications using different programming languages. He shares that he is "very satisfied with working at Citigroup; it is a great place to work, and the environment is friendly. There is always room to learn new technologies and to grow your expertise."
He believes that he wouldn't be where he is today without the unfailing faith and support of his family, explaining, "My father has always been supportive in most everything I do."
Deep thinks that there's no such thing as an overnight success: "Even as a software developer, it takes many sleepless nights to create solutions and codes. Have faith in your abilities, and don't stop ‘til you get there.” explains.
