Dr. Mangarova has over 25 years of experience in higher education, with extensive practical and theoretical knowledge of instruction, curriculum development, the accreditation process, and academic leadership.
Her greatest motivation is making a difference in students’ futures and their lives. Seeing the joy and hope for the future on the faces of students graduating from SFBU is priceless.
As Chief Academic Officer at SFBU, Dr. Mangarova appreciates being a part of a highly dedicated and professional team of faculty and staff. For her, such a team is essential for the effective and successful completion of projects and goals. She shares the university’s vision and believes that SFBU will be recognized as a leader in higher education through academic excellence.
Dr. Mangarova believes that true leaders should lead by example and guide others to succeed through hard work.

Back in her home country of Bulgaria, Dr. Mangarova was a successful neurologist. After relocating with her family to the United States, she had to rebuild her life entirely. She considers that as one of her greatest accomplishments. “As an immigrant, you have to restart your life and find your pathway again. For me, that was teaching, and I fell in love with the profession,” she recalls, adding, “It is never too late to achieve your goals and find your realization in life”.

Never give up!
Life is like a pendulum, we all have our ups and downs.
If you truly wish to achieve your goals, don’t just dream about them, work hard to achieve them!
