Sending Official Transcripts to SFBU
SFBU accepts official transcripts through the methods listed below. Electronic submission through Parchment is the preferred method whenever available.
Method 1: Parchment Electronic Submission — Preferred
If your college or university participates in Parchment, you may request that your official transcript be sent electronically to San Francisco Bay University (SFBU) through the Parchment platform.
Please refer to the SFBU Parchment Guide for instructions on how to request and send your official transcript to SFBU.
Method 2: Other Electronic Transcript Services
If your institution uses another authorized electronic transcript service, such as the National Student Clearinghouse, you may request that your official transcript be sent electronically to SFBU.
When prompted to provide a recipient email address, please use:
To be considered official, the transcript must be transmitted directly through the authorized electronic transcript service.
Method 3: College Registrar or Records Office Submission
If your institution does not participate in Parchment or another authorized electronic transcript service, you may ask your college or university's Registrar or Records Office to email your official transcript directly to SFBU.
Official transcripts must be sent directly from an authorized institutional email account to:
Transcripts emailed by students or from personal email accounts will not be considered official.
Method 4: Mail or In-Person Submission — Last Resort
If electronic submission is not available, an official transcript may be mailed to SFBU or delivered in person to the Records Office.
To be considered official, a physical transcript must:
- Be issued by the originating college or university;
- Be enclosed in the institution's original, sealed envelope;
- Remain sealed and unopened when received by SFBU; and
- Display appropriate institutional identification and, when applicable, an official seal, stamp, or signature across the envelope closure.
The issuing institution may mail the transcript directly to SFBU. Students may also mail or personally deliver the transcript, provided it remains in the original, sealed, and unopened institutional envelope.
Transcripts that have been opened, altered, photocopied, or cannot otherwise be authenticated will not be accepted as official.
When mailing a transcript, SFBU strongly recommends using a mailing service that provides tracking and delivery confirmation. Students should retain the tracking information until SFBU confirms receipt of the transcript.
