Accreditation Fast Facts

  • SFBU has been accredited by WSCUC since 2020
  • Accreditation is a system of quality assurance and institutional review that holds universities accountable for making improvements to the curriculum, campus, and student experience
  • All accredited institutions in the USA are reviewed, at minimum, every ten years.
  • Universities must be accredited in order to:
    • Transfer units between schools
    • Accept international students
    • Participate in other federal programs, like financial aid
    • Seek professional accreditation with industry-specific organizations
