Bio

Nick Ladany, Ph.D. is President of San Francisco Bay University (SFBU), where he is advancing meaningful and substantive innovation in higher education. He brings more than 30 years of experience as a tenured professor of counseling psychology and senior academic leader across public and private, large and small comprehensive universities.

Dr. Ladany serves on the Board of the California Psychological Association and contributes to Forbes, writing on the future and reimagining of higher education. Throughout his career, he has held senior academic and administrative leadership roles at Oglethorpe University, Santa Clara University, Loyola Marymount University, and Lehigh University.

He earned his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University at Albany, State University of New York, and his B.S. in Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Dr. Ladany has authored more than 80 scholarly publications, including six books, and has delivered over 250 national and international presentations across more than 20 countries. His scholarly and professional expertise includes higher education leadership, clinical supervision, and the training of mental health practitioners.
