Bio

Dr. Nizar Al Bassam is an IEEE Senior Member with internationally recognized contributions to communications engineering, including an Honorable Mention from IEEE ComSoc-USA and multiple externally funded research grants. He currently serves as an adjunct faculty member at San Francisco Bay University and American River College, where he teaches courses in computer science and electronics relevant to computing and computer engineering curricula.

His research interests include chaos-based communication systems, Internet of Things (IoT) applications, and wireless sensor networks, with applications to smart healthcare and advanced communication technologies. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and a co-authored book, with publications appearing in reputable international journals and conferences. He has also led and contributed to several funded research projects.

Dr. Al Bassam holds a Ph.D. in Modern Communications Engineering from Al-Nahrain University and an M.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Al-Mustansiriyah University.
