Johnathan Mun, Ph.D.
Professor and Chair of Business
Dr. Johnathan Mun is a Professor and Chair of the Business Department with 25 years of industry and academic experience. He has taught at the MBA, M.S., and Ph.D. levels in 10 countries and authored 30 books and 150 academic articles. Dr. Mun holds 13 patents, has consulted for over 50 multinational companies, created 10 software applications, and founded three companies. His research interests include financial analytics, quantitative methods, data science, economics, investment science, simulation, predictive modeling, AI/ML analytics, and optimization.
Cassondra Smith, Ph.D.
Professor of Business, Postdoctoral
Cassondra has a diverse background in Business Management, Marketing, Project Management, Supply Chain Management and Finance. Cassondra’s expertise includes Supply Chain management, Consumer Behavior, and Cost Accounting. Cassondra’s research interest focuses on consumerism, marketing analytics, consumer behavior, and the fiscal implications of misaligned U.S. apparel sizing standards. Cassondra has over 20 years of professional business experience and 15 years of instruction experience across primary and tertiary education.

Mr. Aquilina is a tech executive with 30+ years in industry. He has taught at Bay Area colleges for 20+ years, focusing on product marketing and e-commerce.
Jumana "Jay" Black, Ph.D.
Dr. Black is a former tech CEO who scaled a SaaS platform to 25M members. She now researches human–AI collaboration in marketing and higher education.
Flora Chu, DBA
Dr. Chu is a Professor of Accounting and Finance with 20+ years of experience. She specializes in auditing, financial modeling, and SOX internal controls.
Reginald Duhé, Ph.D.
Dr. Duhé is a marketing consultant with 20+ years of experience. He teaches branding and neuromarketing at Santa Clara University and UC Berkeley.
Gary Giss, Ph.D.
Dr. Gary Giss is Director of International Programs and Partnerships and Professor of Practice at San Francisco Bay University. He brings more than 20 years of experience in higher education, including extensive experience in international programs, with more than 15 years of living and working full-time in Asia. He is currently based in Vietnam.
Nicole Goldberg, Ph.D.
Dr. Goldberg serves on the AI Advisory Board and has 15+ years in leadership and curriculum design. She has led efforts to bring AI into enterprise workflows.
Shalini Gopalkrishnan, DBA
Dr. Gopalkrishnan is an AI Strategist at SFBU with 30+ years in analytics and statistics. Her work focuses on AI for social good, ESG, and sustainability.
