He brings more than 20 years of experience across marketing, management, and engineering, with expertise in B2B marketing strategy, behavioral marketing, enterprise technology adoption, customer decision-making, and AI-driven marketing innovation. His academic and professional work focuses on understanding how organizations evaluate, adopt, and implement new products and technologies.
Dr. Prasad holds a Ph.D. in Behavioral Marketing, with doctoral research focused on the intention-behavior gap in B2B decision-making. Drawing on the Theory of Planned Behavior, his research examined how attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, and organizational culture influence whether organizational purchase intentions translate into implementation. Using a phenomenographic research approach, his work explored the different ways business decision-makers experience adoption barriers and identified factors that can help organizations move from consideration to action. His broader research interests include B2B buyer behavior, innovation adoption, organizational readiness, marketing effectiveness, and strategic communication.
Professionally, Dr. Prasad has held senior product marketing roles at NVIDIA and Amazon Web Services (AWS), where his work has spanned go-to-market strategy, product positioning, customer adoption, executive communications, and cross-functional leadership across enterprise, cloud, and AI technologies. Throughout his career, he has conducted more than 500 formal qualitative customer interviews to identify customer needs, adoption barriers, and decision drivers. He applies these insights to develop research-informed marketing strategies that address customer needs throughout the adoption lifecycle.
Dr. Prasad's work also explores how artificial intelligence can enhance marketing research, insight generation, content development, campaign strategy, personalization, and message testing. As an educator, he integrates behavioral theory, contemporary marketing practices, and real-world technology industry experience to help students connect strategic marketing concepts with business decision-making and implementation.
