Johnathan Mun, Ph.D.

Professor and Chair of Business

Dr. Johnathan Mun is a Professor and Chair of the Business Department with 25 years of industry and academic experience. He has taught at the MBA, M.S., and Ph.D. levels in 10 countries and authored 30 books and 150 academic articles. Dr. Mun holds 13 patents, has consulted for over 50 multinational companies, created 10 software applications, and founded three companies. His research interests include financial analytics, quantitative methods, data science, economics, investment science, simulation, predictive modeling, AI/ML analytics, and optimization.

Cassondra has a diverse background in Business Management, Marketing, Project Management, Supply Chain Management and Finance. Cassondra’s expertise includes Supply Chain management, Consumer Behavior, and Cost Accounting. Cassondra’s research interest focuses on consumerism, marketing analytics, consumer behavior, and the fiscal implications of misaligned U.S. apparel sizing standards. Cassondra has over 20 years of professional business experience and 15 years of instruction experience across primary and tertiary education.

Hari Hirani, M.S.

Mr. Hari Hirani is a Professor of Business and Technology with extensive experience in enterprise transformation, Agile leadership, and business systems education. He is a proactive and committed educator with a strong background in designing comprehensive lesson plans, developing curriculum, and delivering applied learning experiences that emphasize real-world business and technology integration. His teaching focuses on system analysis, business process improvement, cloud computing, and Agile delivery frameworks.

Bruce Loc Do, Ph.D.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bruce Loc Do is the Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics & Finance (UEF), recognized as the fastest-growing international university in Vietnam with a student population of 20,000. Before leading UEF, Dr. Do served as the Dean of English and Executive Education at Vietnam National University. He became the Dean at the age of 25 and Vice President at 34, making him one of the youngest executives across Asia’s higher education. Starting his career as a teacher, Dr.

Tim Loomas, Ph.D.

Dr. Tim Loomas is an Adjunct Professor and analytics leader with over 15 years of experience delivering advanced, data-driven analytics solutions and more than a decade of experience leading high-performing analytics teams. He currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Dominican University and Saint Mary’s College of California, where he develops and delivers graduate-level coursework in business analytics, data management, data modeling, visualization, and executive analytics.

He has consulted for more than 100 multinational corporations, holds 13 registered U.S. patents, and has authored 32 books, published over 150 articles and technical reports, developed 10 software applications, traveled to over 50 countries, and founded 3 companies. His books and software are used by more than 50 universities worldwide.

Shruthi Nadig, MPA

Ms. Shruthi Nadig is an educator and human resources professional with over 15 years of experience spanning higher education, technology, and nonprofit sectors. She brings deep expertise in organizational development, human resources management, diversity, equity, and inclusion, accessibility, and strategic planning. Her academic interests focus on organizational behavior, human resources management, group dynamics, labor and employment relations, and equity-centered workplace practices.

Viraj Ramesh Phanse, MBA, M.S. in Computer Science

Viraj Ramesh Phanse is an Adjunct Faculty member and industry practitioner with extensive experience spanning artificial intelligence, venture capital, business analytics, computer science, and go-to-market and product strategy. He currently serves as Adjunct Faculty in Business and Computer Science at San Jose City College, where he teaches and supports applied learning initiatives at the intersection of technology, analytics, and entrepreneurship.

Holden Reyes, M.B.A., MLS

Holden Reyes is the Associate Director for the Full-Time MBA Program Office at the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley, where he leads Student Life and Leadership Development. With a background in business and project management, Holden transitioned to higher education, bringing over three years of teaching experience in Management and Business Law at institutions such as UC Berkeley Extension, Golden Gate University, Notre Dame de Namur University, and San Francisco Bay University.

Ahmad Shaar, Ph.D.

Dr. Ahmad A. Shaar is a Professor of Business with over 20 years of academic, industry, and consulting experience specializing in Knowledge Management, Business Intelligence, Agile Project Management, and Organizational Strategy. His doctoral research in Business Intelligence in Agile Project Management is registered and copyrighted with the U.S. Library of Congress. His research has been presented at leading academic venues, including Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where his work received a Best Poster award.
